The Faster, Cleaner Way to Reclaim Your Land
Much of the land around Athens was once cotton fields and pasture. Over the decades, a lot of it grew back into thickets of sweetgum, loblolly pine, privet, and briars, all rooted in red clay that washes away easily once it’s left bare. That’s exactly why forestry mulching in Athens, GA, makes so much sense. Instead of scraping the ground clean and leaving exposed clay to erode in the next summer downpour, our mulcher grinds standing brush and small trees into a layer of wood chips that stays on the surface and holds the soil in place.
To Do Land Management LLC is owner-operated by Devonte Upshaw, who brings 17 years of experience to every job. The company has been locally owned since 2020. When you call, the same person who quotes your job is the one who shows up to do it. Based in Bogart, we serve homeowners and landowners across Clarke, Oconee, Jackson, and Madison counties.
Benefits of Forestry Mulching Services
Traditional clearing usually means bulldozers, burn piles, and truckloads of debris.
Our forestry mulching services in Athens, GA, take a simpler route with real advantages:
- No hauling or burning: Everything is processed on-site, so there are no debris piles left behind.
- Erosion control: The mulch layer shields red clay from heavy rain and helps the ground hold moisture.
- Minimal soil disturbance: Roots stay in place to stabilize the ground instead of being torn out.
- Slower regrowth: A thick mulch layer helps suppress weeds and new sprouts.
- Faster results: A single machine cuts and mulches in one pass, so most jobs wrap up quickly.
